Here are answers to questions that you may have prior to your visit
What type of examinations are offered and how much time should I allow for my visit?
Medical Examinations usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours and usually require dilation. Vision Examinations usually 1/2 to 1 hours with extra time for eyeglass selection. Contact Lens Evaluations expect 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours. Follow up medical evaluations expect 1/2 to 1 hour.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We ask that you bring registration and history forms, photo identification, your insurance cards, a list of current medications, supplements and eye medications. Sunglasses may be necessary if you are scheduled for medical examinations with dilation. We encourage you to bring a driver, as you may have temporary difficulty with driving after dilation.
How should I reschedule my appointment?
We expect that you will honor your appointment time. However we realize that unexpected events happen. If you need to reschedule, we ask that you call us by phone as soon as possible, so we may offer open appointment times to other patients.
What should I do if my address or insurance changes?
Please contact our office as soon as possible. Some insurances require authorization or referrals. It is important for us to know this prior to your appointment.
We do attempt to confirm appointments and reserve the right to charge a rebooking fee to patients who do not show for their appointments and do not give advance notice. Please call (248)547-6656. Our answering service will gladly accept messages after hours.
